Our Redemption Package

I look at things! I like to think! Thinking is my favorite past time! I learn a lot that way. Of course, if I want to think, then I need to search and study. I Am a serious student, an eager learner. God has gifted me to be a teacher of His word; therefore, I am a gifted student.

It is easy for me to learn, not because I’m smart, it’s because I’m gifted by God with the ability to learn, and to present what I learn to others. Over the years, I’ve had numerous people tell me, “Dave you make it easy to learn.” That’s true.

By the way, I take no credit for my abilities. I know I didn’t earn them, and I know I didn’t deserve them. The fact is, I received them by faith, just like I received the gift of eternal life by faith. Also, it is by faith that I received the gift of righteousness and God’s love and grace. There was no effort on my part. You receive gifts, you don’t deserve them nor do you don’t earn them.

Don’t I owe God something for His gifts? NO! They are gifts. If God expected payment for His gifts, then they would be bribes not gifts. He enjoys my love for Him. We are friends!

Many Christians do not realize that it is by faith you are saved, not by grace alone. Did you know that? Read this: “For it is by grace you have been saved, THROUGH FAITH – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST” – Ephesians 2:8-9.

In other words, the moment the Spirit of God brought us to the place when our hearts were open to believe the gospel message, God gave each of us a measure of His faith. It was the faith we needed to say “Yes” and accept His gracious gifts.

Could we have said “No” at that moment? At that point, I don’t think so because the Spirit of God had been working in our hearts, only He knows for how long, to bring us to that moment. He knew we were ready to; He is the One who got us ready to accept the Once For All Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

There are numerous gifts and provisions provided in our redemption package. I wonder if you know that? It is by faith that we have been justified. We have gained access into God’s grace in which we now stand, and it is by faith that we now stand in God’s grace – Romans 5:1.

Too many Christians work up a sweat trying to please God and gain His favor (grace). When in fact, the moment we accepted the Once For All Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ God was able to lavish His love and grace upon our lives. We are always welcome to enter in before God’s through of grace to receive mercy and help when needed.

Christian read these statements of fact and get happy: Hebrews 4:14-16; Ephesians 3:12; Hebrews 10:10; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Philippians 1:6; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 1:7-8; 1 John 3:1; Hebrews 7:24-25; 1 John 2:1-2; Romans 3:22; Romans 5:9-10; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Hebrews 9:12, 9:24-28. And there are many more statement of fact that declare the many provision of our redemption package.

Most of all keep in mind that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom – 2 Corinthians 3:17. Where is the Spirit of God? Christian, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you?” “We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God HAS FREELY GIVEN US” – 1 Corinthians 2:12. So there is no reason for you not to know the many provisions God has freely given you in Christ.

Because Jesus Christ lives forever, He is able to save each of us completely because we come to God through Jesus Christ, there is not other way to come to God. You efforts to be a faithful servant will not. We will be found blameless on the day Jesus Christ returns to gather His people to be with Him forever in never ending joy – 1 Corinthians 1:8.

Christian, we belong to God! His seal of ownership is upon our lives and His Spirit lives in each of us guaranteeing what I yet to come – 2 Corinthians 1:22. Believe that and swing free from fear and guilt.

Christian, we are righteous with the righteousness of Jesus Christ – 1 Corinthians 1:30. Righteousness is a gift from God.

An Invitation: If you haven’t accepted God’s free gift of eternal life, but you would like to, simply pray this prayer:

“Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God and the only way to God.  I admit that I’m a sinner, please forgive my sins and come into my life; I want to be born again.  Please show me how real you are. Also baptize me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you for accepting me.”

If you’re still a skeptic: “God, if this is true, please help me understand so that I can accept the gift of New Birth you purchased for me.”
