New Covenant Provisions

I tell you the truth, My Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete – John 16:27-28.

Matthew 8:17 makes health and healing a new covenant provisions:

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities (sickness, weakness, feebleness) and carried our diseases (pains and sorrows) -- Matthew 8:17 fulfills Isaiah 53:4,5.

“Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed” – Isaiah 53:4-5.

“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed” – 1 Peter 2:24.

2 Corinthians 8:9 makes prosperity a new covenant provision:

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

“It is because of Him (God our Father) that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption” – 1 Corinthians 1:30.

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” – 2 Corinthians 5:21.

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance” --  Ephesians 1:13-14.

“now a righteousness from God, apart from the law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to ALL WHO BELIEVE. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” – Romans 3:21-24.

Each of us who are included in Christ are included among the righteous through faith in the Once For All Sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
  • Misfortune pursues the sinner, but PROSPERITY IS THE REWARD OF THE RIGHTEOUS -- Proverbs 12:21

In Christ, we are living in God’s grace, those outside of grace continue to live under God’s wrath.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the  Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him/her” – John 3:36.

“In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will – to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has FREELY given us in the One he loves. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He LAVISHED on us with all wisdom and understanding” – Ephesians 1:5-8.

“For if, by the trespass of the one man (Adam), death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s ABUNDANT PROVISION OF GRACE AND OF THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ” – Romans 5:17

“Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous” – Proverbs 13:21.

“The blessing of the LORD brings wealth and He adds no trouble to it” – Proverbs 10:22.

“To the man who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God”—Ecclesiastes 2:26.

“From the fruit of his mouth a man’s stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” – Proverbs 18:20-21.

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved (from sin, from poverty, from all harm and evil)—Romans 10:10.

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, and so that BY FAITH we might receive the promise of the Spirit” – Galatians 3:13-14.

“Abraham did not waiver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. This is why ‘it was credited to him as righteousness.’ The words, ‘it was credited to him’ were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness – for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” – Romans 4:20-25.

Jesus Christ is our righteousness, our holiness, our redemption; we stand complete in Christ!  In Christ we are: righteous, holy, and free from sin Once For All!

Jesus Answered: “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent” – John 6:29.
