Hearing God
Christian, may I ask, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?" -- 1 Corinthians 6:19.  That is a straight forward question.

Do you know that the Holy Spirit is the author of the Bible (Scripture)? He is: "Above all (the chatter and disagreement), you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke (and wrote) from God as they WERE CARRIED ALONG BY THE HOLY SPIRIT" -- 2 Peter 1:20-21

And remember: "All Scripture is God breathed" -- 2 Timothy 3:16-17 That means Scripture is God speaking! So yes Christian, we should expect to hear God speaking to us, click here:

Jesus Christ promised each Christian that at the moment of New Birth: "When He, the Spirit of truth, comes [into your life], He will guide you into ALL TRUTH, He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what he hears, and He will tell you WHAT IS YET TO COME" -- John 16:13

While praying to His Father, Jesus Christ said this: "Sanctify [set apart] them by the truth; Your Word Is Truth" -- John 17:17  To read more click here:

And we can be confident that we have received the Spirit who is from God because God's word says this: "We have not received the spirit of the world [thank God} but the Spirit who is from God, THAT WE MAY UNDERSTAND WHAT GOD HAS FREELY GIVEN US" -- 2 Corinthians 2:12

In order to control the thinking of the people, some Christian leaders say things like:
  • you can't lift a single verse out of context and believe that is what it means
  • you can't take those statement literally, they have to be kept relevant for today's culture
  • you can't string a bunch of verses together and make them mean what you want them to mean
  • etc, etc, etc
  • Yes we can, yes we do, and yes we will
The truth is Christian, it's your choice: Who are you going to believe and put your confidence in? God or men and women?

As for me and my household and ministry, we choose to take God at His word, literally, so we expect to hear the Holy Spirit speaking to us guiding us into the truth in God's word, also telling us what is yet to come, and helping us understand what God has freely given us in Christ.
After all Christian, God has, "set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come" literally -- 2 Corinthians 1:22.

An Invitation: If you haven’t accepted God’s free gift of forgiveness yet, but you would like to experience the New Life He promises, simply pray this prayer:  “Jesus Christ, I choose to believe you are the Son of God and God’s only sacrifice for the forgiveness of my sins. I admit it, I’m a sinner, please forgive my sins, and I ask you to come into my life, I want to be born again. Save me Jesus.  I don't understand it, but please save me Jesus.  Please show me how real you are! Also baptize me with your Holy Spirit; I want everything you have for me. Thank you for accepting me.”

If you’re a skeptic you can pray a prayer like this: “God, if  this is true about Jesus Christ and a new life, please help me understand so that I can accept your gift of eternal life that you purchased for me by the sacrifice of Your Son.”

Here's a great song:
