The Gospel Message

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16

  • That statement does not say God “loves the sinner” it says God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son – as the Once For All Atoning Sacrifice for the sins of mankind – so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
  •  In other words, God wants to love everyone but He can’t until the person chooses to believe in His Son.

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son – John 3:18.

  • Whoever believes in the name of God’s Son is not condemned, but the person who refuses to believe in the name of God’s Son stands condemned.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him/her – John 3:36

  • Whoever believes in the Son of God has eternal life, but whoever rejects God’s Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him/her so you cannot say God loves the sinner, the sinner is under God’s wrath.

Jesus Christ, the Righteous One; He is the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world – 1 John 2:2

  • Does that mean the whole world will be saved?  No! Only those who believe in Jesus Christ – John 3:16, 18, 36.

Because Jesus lives forever, He has a permanent priesthood. Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them – Hebrews 7:25

  • Jesus Christ is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, but you have to come to God and you have to come to God through His Son, His atoning sacrifice for the sins of mankind.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved – Acts 4:12.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” – John 14:6.

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance -- Ephesians 1:13,14.

  • When a person accepts the truth of Jesus Christ he/she is included in Christ, and Christ sends His Holy Spirit into the person's life. The Spirit of God is the guarantee the person will be saved to the end.
  • When a person accepts the truth of Jesus Christ he/she is rescued out of the dominion of darkness and brought into the kingdom of Jesus Christ -- Colossians 1:13
  • When a person accepts the truth of Jesus Christ he/she comes out from under God's wrath and God lavishes His love and grace upon the person -- John 3:36; 1 John 3:1; Ephesians 1:7,8.
  • And so much more!

An invitation: If you haven’t accepted God’s free gift yet, but you would like to, simply pray this prayer.

“Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross as the sacrifice for my sins; you are the only way to God.  I admit that I’m a sinner, please forgive my sins and come into my life, I want to be born again.  Please show me how real you are; also baptize me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you for accepting me.”

If you’re still a skeptic, you find it hard to accept the truth of Jesus Christ, you can pray a prayer like this one: “God, if this is true please help me understand so that I can accept the gift of eternal life you purchased for me.” Thank you.
